The Lakers came out on top of a very close game by a score of 8 to 6.
Very strong defensive play by Dean Roy, Dan Stevensen and Gerard Hittel who caught blistering line drives to keep the score close. They all must have gotten their eyes check by Stewart Optical to see the lasers coming at them. Boom Boom Hammel put one over the fence into the poplars and one off the top of the fence for 3 runs.
Brian Hoffner, Gerard Hittel, Leroy Friesen, Darryl Maser and Barry Koch went 2 for 3 at the dish to help the Lakers with the Victory over the Fog. There was no Fog tonight in the first game except for 1 player who thought the Fog would lift early but it hung around for the whole game.
Thanks to Darryl Maser and Stan Wrath for subbing in and making a big impact by stressing the fog to be a little thicker than usual.

In a slugfest of great magnitude the Morrison Mavericks defeated the Brewers 25 to 17. The hitting star for the Mavs once again was Rick Parker as he blasted two three-run homers and another for two runs. In his fourth at bat the scene was set for him to repeat his act as two men were on base. He was denied the chance when the Brewers issued an ill advised walk to load the bases. Pierre "Catfish" Cote promptly drove a grand slam home run into the right field mezzanine. Le jeu est terminé.
For the Brewers Randy Kambeitz smashed two two-run home runs.
-Game Two

Keith Lutz and Al Martin batted 1.000 for their respective teams. Jim Fink was heard to say after the game "at least I kept Al in the park this time!" The outfielders on both teams made some great catches but the two that stand out are Keith Kleckners running basket catch in the 3rd and Dave Sawatsky's game-ending catch at the fence in right field. Home runs were hit by Blaine Lutz(2 rbi's) and Dieter Stanke(3rbi's) IPA pitching kept E&H to one extra base hit, that by Robert Jensen in the 3rd inning.
