Game 2 - In a game highlighted by steady pitching, and good defense, the Garage Fog prevailed over the E & H Astros 11-10 in a hard fought, close game that was appreciated by all the great fans in attendance. The Astros jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the top half of the first, and lead the game until the Foggers posted a 5 spot in the bottom of the fifth, taking an 8 -6 lead. Both teams traded punches in the sixth, which brought the match to a 10-7 score going into the seventh, in favor of the Garage. The heart of the Astros order put up three runs, tying the game at 10-10 going into the last half. Ron Jarvis promptly lead off with a triple, then Dieter Stanke  ripped a ball to right to score the game winning run!
Offensively, the Garage was lead by Kent Strudwick, who had a 4-4 night, while Astro slugger Kelly Lutz was also 4--4. Defensively, Jake Thomas made three key catches in right whilst battling the sun, which were crucial in the Fog's second win in two days. Pitchers  Fred Kelln and Rod "The Godfather" Insko both had very solid outings for their respective teams. Another shoutout to the Laker's volunteers, and to Pudge for a great job in the booth!

July 23:
Game 1 - The first game on a sunny Tuesday evening featured the Garage Pub Fog vs. The Mavericks. The Fog boys came out swinging, scoring four runs in both the first and second inning to take an 8-1 lead after three. Both teams scored twice in the fourth, and the Mavs then added four in the sixth to make it close, but the Fog eventually prevailed with a 10-7 victory.
Offensively, the Fog was lead by Grant Mackay's 3/4 and Dieter Stanke and Kent Strudwick's 3/3, while Ron Jarvis added 3 rbi's. For the Mavs, John Engel and Dave Hammel were both 3/3 with 3 rbi's each, and the pair each had a homerun.
Defensively, Engel made around 10 outs at short, and Dan Hamilton threw three shutout innings at pitcher. For the Fog, the story of the night was pitcher Rod "The Godfather" Insko. Rod pitched an absolute gem with pinpoint accuracy, and impressively held the Mavs "Murderer's Row" to only seven runs. Grant Mackay again anchored the Fog's infield with his steady play at short.
Thanks to the Lakers pair of umpires who called a great game, and to their crew in the concession stand. Excellent work by Randy once again for announcing and detailed scorekeeping.

Game 3 - In third game of the night, where the Logos Rebels hosted the Mike Meats Meateors. Low scoring affair with both teams playing solid defence. After 2 innings tied up at 2 a piece. In the top of the 4, the Meateors scored 4 runs, while the Rebels only managed 1 for a 6-3 score. The Rebels would be able to hold off the Meateors in the last 3 innings. Then chipping away with 1 in the 5th, 6th and 2 in the bottom half of the 7 to tie the game. Final score 6-6.
Massive props to the Sauer RV Lakers crew — flipping burgers and keeping the game running without a hitch! With Gary and Randy our sometimes called Staler and Waldorf bringing the energy in the upper deck? Legends.
Honestly, it was just another beautiful night at the ballpark, where friendship, sportsmanship and laughter shines through. Some people would even call that a grand slam of life! We are so fortunate!

Game 2 - It was a great night for the rain to stay away so that all 3 ball games could be completed.
The Sauer RV Storage Lakers came away with a 16-6 win over the Logo Rebel’s who were without some of their top Rebel sluggers.
For the Logo Rebel’s it was a 4/4 night for Dean utility Roy and Dan Rattia and a 3/4 night for Larry Coach Rudolph.
For the Sauer RV Storage Lakers it was a 4/4 night for Pierre Tennis Racket Cote, 3/3 night for Wilf Shooter Broesky (with a walk), a 3’4 night for Mike Hammy Stroh (HR) and a 3/4 night for Trevor what’s up there Fauth. Not to forget a 2/3 night for Ross Keyless Entry Foster, who stole 2 bases (never got caught) but left something really important in his automobile. It's funny after a game people don’t remember much about the game, but they remember lot’s after. The Sauer RV Storage Lakers are not good at B & E’s. A buy stander/ Ump came to the rescue with some good B & E skills to help retrieve the goods.
Thanks to the score keeper, announcer and to the Garage Pub team for doing a great job on the bases and in the kitchen.

Game 3 - The last game of the night was between the hometown Redi Recycler Rockies and visiting, Juggies Tap House Brewers. The Brewers prevailed in this one against a depleted Rockies lineup, 16-9. Rockies had 3 super subs: Dean Roy, John Unreiner and Larry Herrell. Brewers had 11 of their 14 players. Todd Toews, Tim Mayer and winning pitcher, Jim Dulle, all had 4 big hits. Barry Koch and Glen Stodolka both went yard in a losing cause. Kind of a dark, cool, wet night, but we got our 3 games in. Thanks to the FOG boys for their work tonight.
