July 2:
     Game 1 - In the first game of the night the Copper Coulee Casino Silver Foxes edged out the Station Coffee Longshots 15-14. The winning pitcher was Boyd Kosolofski (1K, 1BB) and Trent Rasch took the loss (2K , 0BB). For the Longshots James Giesbrecht was 3/3 with a home run while Perry Nurse was 3/4. Rich Bergen, Gregg Martin, Trent Rasch and Rod Sommerfeld were all 2/3. For the Silver Foxes Darren Emerson was the star of the game going 4/4 (HR, 3 Doubles, 9 RBIs). Robert Jensen was also 4/4 and Glenn Kessler was 3/3. Todd Kopec (double) and Sam Montoya were both 3/4. Steve Brier had two key doubles in his last 2 at bats to power the Foxes to the victory.

     Game 2 - The Red Sox jumped out to an early lead scoring five runs in their first at bat. Bumper to Bumper Blue Jays responded with two runs in the bottom of the first. The Red Sox were back on the bats in the third inning using four hits to score four runs. The Jays countered with three runs themselves to trail nine to six after three innings. After holding the Red Sox scoreless in the top of the fourth, the Jays struck for five runs on six hits to take the lead. The back and forth wouldn’t stop as the Red Sox scored three runs in the fifth while the Jays added one run for a tie ball game after five complete innings. Again the Jays were able to hold the Red Sox scoreless in the sixth while cashing in four runs on four hits in the bottom half of the inning. The Red Sox pushed two runs across in the top of the seventh but came up two runs short to make the final Bumper to Bumper 16 and the Red Sox 14.
     Leading the Red Sox were Garth Stark 4-4 (double, triple), Boyd Hamm 4-4 (HR, double), Lance Knodel 3-4 (double) while Derry Eresman, Howard Gehring, Bob Marfleet and Harvey Buye were each 2-3.
For the Jays, Kevin Lane 4-4 (HR, double), Mike Peters 3-3, Andy Stroh 3-4 (double) and Tom Baker, Andy Christie and Paul Jollymour each 2-3. Lyle Kennedy had back to back triples.

     Game 3 - The third game of the night saw Juggies Tap House take on Logos. It was a close contest throughout the game with Logos winning 19 to 16. Juggies had 24 hits and Logos had 28. Winning pitcher was Dean Roy and Jim Dulle took the loss. A big thankyou to the Mavericks for operating the concession and for the umpiring. As a reminder this weekend is the annual senior men's slow pitch tournament with teams from Kelowna, Edmonton, Regina, and Calgary. The weather is going to be great. Come on out have a beer and watch some great slow pitch action.

June 29:
     Game 1 - On a rainy night at the ball park, fans were treated to a heavy hitting game by both teams with Elmer & Harold’s Astros prevailing for a 18 - 13 win over the Garage Pub Fog. The Fog’s offence came alive scoring 5 runs in innings 5 & 6 to tie the game at 13 - 13. The Astros then scored 5 runs in the top of the 7th and shut down the Fog bats in the bottom half of the inning to preserve the win. For the Astros, Rick Parker and Kelly Lutz were both 5/5. For the Fog, Dieter Stanke was 4/4 including a 3 run home run and Mike Sills and Rod Aman were also 4/4.
