Game 2 - The 2nd game tonight was a very good, close game, Juggies BrewHouse Brewers outlasting the Cross Town  Red Sox, 13-10. Two very close teams, we each have a win and a tie in our 3 games against each other this year. Juggies got 2 big HR's from Blaine Lutz and another 2 hits in his first game back in more than a month, and another HR from Dale Deis, his first big fly of the year. Mark Porter had 4 hits, Mike Ferre and Dale Deis had 3 each. We had one super-sub tonight in the "B" category, Ken Kallis, who we had to pull out of the bleachers at the last minute. For the Red Sox, Boyd Hamm had 3 hits which included a HR, Darrell Maser, Derry Eresman, Howard Gehring, Harv Buye and Jack Brown all had 2 hits. A busy night for the E & H boys tonight, good work at the concession and on the field. See you at the scramble on Saturday.

The defensive player of the game was from Sub, Bob Go Go Gadget Marfleet with 3 great catches playing rover to keep the Sauer RV Storage Lakers from increasing their lead. The only questionable call of the night didn’t come from the umps. It came from the kitchen as to who was going to get the last drum stick. Thanks to the scorekeeper, the announcer, the clock, and to Elmer and Harolds for looking after the umps and keeping the players and fans fed.

Game 3 - In a low scoring game that neither team appeared to want to win Stewart Optical pulled out a 7-5 win over the Garage Pub Fog. The game was close all the way and both teams had lots of base runners, but the defenses came up big to end most innings without too much damage.
The Eye Guys scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and held the Fog off the scoresheet in their final at bat to secure the win.
Dan Rattai and Jeff Thompson both went 3-3 for the Optical team while Randy Biko , Darrell Bonogofsky, Byron Witkowski and Brian Christman  each added two hits.
For the Fog Kent Strudwick and Dieter Stanke were both 3-3 at the plate while Sherwin Lehman and Ken Longmore went 2-2. The pitching for both teams was solid, a lot of the hard hit balls were caught and lawn darts and place pops seemed to rule the night.

August 11:
Game 1 - A  9 - 0 lead after two innings and a 15 - 8 advantage after six was just barely enough for the Morrison Health Mavericks to defeat the resilient Logos Rebels by the score of 15 to 14. Having already scored six runs in their last turn at bat the Rebels had the bases loaded with two out when a deep fly out to left ended the tense match. Leon Moch, in the top of the sixth, doubled with two out to score brother Delvin with what proved to be the winning tally. For Leon it was his fourth hit of the game while knocking in three and scoring three.
