Sept 4:
Game 1 - A little cooler night at the Field of Dreams for our first game, Juggies Tap House Brewers beating the Morrison Mavericks, 11-7. Juggies came our blazing, scoring 5, then settled back into our usual performance, only scoring 6 more, but it was enough tonight. We outhit the Mavs, 24-17, just couldn't score many runs. Mavs infielders made some nice double plays to end our scoring threats. Top hitters for Juggies were Mike Ferre, Mark Porter and Tim Mayer, all with 3 hits. Everyone one else had a couple hits. Stormin" Norman Emann was the top hitter for the Mavs with 3 hits. Jim Dulle got the win on the mound, Dan Hamilton was tagged with the loss. Station Coffee boys worked the field and concession, Jeff T and Gary in the press box. Good work by all of them. See you this weekend for the big finale.

Sept 3:
Game 1 - The Bumper to Bumper Blue Jays jumped out to a 7-0 lead after two innings with the help of a grand slam home run by Kerry Buss in the first inning. The Jays and the Garage Pub Fog were quite even the rest of the way with the final score in favor of the Jays 16-10. Leaders for the Jays were Lyle Kennedy 4-4, Kerry Buss 3-3, Mike Peters and Andy Christie both 3-4. For the Fog, Russ Cameron and Sherwin Lehman were both 4-4 and Ron Jarvis was 3-4. Vern Herter was the winning pitcher while Rod Insko took the loss.

Game 2 - As the season winds down the Red Sox have found their winning ways again. In a close fought battle with the Station Coffee the Red Sox held on for a 7-6 victory. The Red Sox were led by Boyd Hamm's outstanding pitching and aggressive base running. Boyd and Lance Knodel went 2/3 Harv Bye went 2/2 along with solid defensive play held the Station Coffee off the scoreboard in the final inning. For the Station Coffee Blair Hennes and Greg Scott went 2-4, Gregg Martin went 2/3. It was a good game all around. Thanks to the crew who were umpiring and manning the concession stand and to the announcer and scorekeeper for their work.

Sept 2:
Game 1 - The Garage Pub Fog defeated the Logos Rebels 10-9 in the first game of Tuesday evening. The Fog had a 5-0 lead after three innings, then the Rebels scored 3 in the fourth to make it 5-3. The score stood until the top of the sixth when the Fog scored 5 runs with only six batters coming to the plate. Going into the bottom of the seventh, the never say die, scrappy Rebels starting with 11 straight hits, and scored 6 runs as the Fog were fortunate enough to get a couple of force outs. With two outs and the bases loaded, the resilient Rebels came up just short with a ground out to third. Great game!
Fog highlights: Dieter Stanke and Grant Mackay 3-3 with 5 combined rbi's, with an inside the park HR for Dieter. Mike Sills, Ron Jarvis, Sherwin Lehman, and Ken 'Tattoo' Longmore were all 2-3. Defensively, Bill Chapman pitched another gem, including 5 shutout innings for the W. Sills made a couple of half decent plays in the outfield, while Russ Cameron was solid at third base again.
Rebels highlights: Chris Wandler 3-4, Brian Hoffner, Dean Roy, Larry Hurrell and Darryl Bartman were 3-3. Paul King, Danny Stevenson, Leroy Friesen, Terry Rattai, Doug Davies, and John, Unreiner were all 2-3. Dean Roy pitched a solid game for his team, including four shutout innings.

Game 2 - Stewart Optical shook off a slow start offensively, but used some strong defensive play to keep the game close before scoring 14 runs in their last three at bats to defeat the Copper Coulee Foxes 15-7.
For the Eye Guys Roland Schlenker was 4-4 with a triple, Jeff Thompson also went 4-4 while Brian Christman went 3-3. Dan Rattai also added 3 hits while Rob Price, Jim Stewart, Byron Witkowski, Jim Phillips and sub Russ Foster all added a pair. Jim Stewart hit the only one out of the park in the game. The hitting picked up at the end of the game but it was once again defense that won it for the Eye Guys.
For the Foxes Robert Jensen, Randy Wuerful and Dan Hein all had three hits while Paul Savage, Boyd Kosolofski, Sam Montoya and Glen Kessler all added a couple of hits. Paul Savage added an inside the park home run for the Foxes to keep the game close.
Rob Price had a strong game on the mound with a couple of strikeouts and a number of defensive plays. Sam Montoya pitched for the Foxes and kept the bats quiet for the first three innings.

Sept 1:
Game 1 - Mikes and their Subs beat Redi and their subs 14-10 on a beautiful night at LH field. Jim Fink pitched a gem and cashed in a couple runners to claim the coveted horns on this night. Ron Pisoni and Don Halberg shared nine hits batting one-two and Garth Burton had a big smash to center cashing in a couple. For the recyclers Keith Kleckner had an inside the park two runner homer and Barry Koch added a long homer, Bruce Stuber pitched well in the loss. Thanks to subs Curtis Scherger and Dale Weisgerber.
Game 2 - It was a beautiful night for ball on this holiday Monday in September. The Bumper to Bumper Blue Jays used a 5 run second inning to squeak by the Sauer RV Rental Lakers by the score of 10-8. Both teams had 22 hits on the night. Andy Stroh and Tim Macinnis had three hits each while Kevin Lane, Kenn Kallis, Rob Hammel, Vern Herter and super sub Norm Emann had two hits each. Gerard Hittel and Walter Pratt hit triples for the Lakers. A well pitched game by both Vern Herter and Gerard Hittel.
