The play of the year for the Lakers was a tip and a catch from a line drive into Left Center field off the glove of Mike something Shantz to Lorne magician Knodel who was on the run, 2’ behind something Shantz. The victory for the lakers was due to a fine pitching performance from Gerard low-rider Hittel. June 23:
Game 1 - The first game of the week, where the Logos Rebels hosted the Morrison Health Mavericks. The Mavericks scored 11 runs in the first 4 innings, while the Rebels could only muster 1. Flipping the script in the last 3 innings. The Rebels chipped away scoring 11 and holding the Mavericks to 1. Final score 12-12. Baseball is a funny game and no one can foresee what can happen. Big shout out to the Red Sox crews for the burger flipping and umpire duties, along with Darlene and Randy in the upper deck!

Game 2 - The Redi Recycle Rockies built up an early lead and hung on for 13-8 victory over the Elmer & Harold  Astros. Keith Bender led the Rockies offence going four for four. Barry Koch chipped in with three hits. With Redi leading only 9-8 top of the seventh inning, Kevin Friesen cracked a two out  bases clearing triple. Bill Ramage also had three knocks and Gerry Harpell clobbered a three run inside the park home run.   Bruce Stuber picked up the win on the mound for Redi. Fred Bohnet and Fred Kelly pitched for Elmer & Harold.
Game Report By Kevin Friesen

Game 3 - The Juggies Tap House Brewers defeated the Pub on the other side of town, the Garage Pub FOG in the last game of the night, 13-4. Hits were fairly even, 21-15 for the Brewers, but the score didn't really tell the whole story. Some great defense by the Brewers, topped off by a great, over-the-shoulder catch in RF by Paul Savard hit by Ron Jarvis that snuffed out what could have been a big inning for the FOG. That pretty much saved our bacon. Jim Dulle pitched a good game for the Brewers, as did Rod Insko on the visitors side, no walks by either pitcher. Grant MacKay, Rod Aman and Rod Insko all had 3 hits for the Garage. Ron Jarvis hit the ball hard all night, and had 2 hits. For Juggies, our lead-off hitter tonight, Mark Porter was 4-4, Dale Deis and Jamie White had 3 hits and Larry Biko had a big double in the 5th inning that cleared the bases, good for 3 RBI's. Birthday boy Blaine Lutz had 2 doubles. Thanks to the Crosstown Red Sox for their work tonight, and Randy and Darlene in the press box.
