Game 2 - In the second game on a cool and cloudy evening, the Garage Pub Fog took on the Redi Recyclers. It was a back and forth game featuring good defense on both sides, and the Fog carried a 9-6 lead into the seventh. In the top of the last inning, the Garage boys exploded for seven runs on eight hits to put the game out of reach, with a final score of 16-8. Grant Mackay and Dieter Stanke were both 3/4 with two triples, Ron Jarvis and Sherwin Lehman were 3/4, Rod Aman was 4/4, and Kent Strudwick was 3/3 with three doubles.
For the Recyclers, Royce Hopkins, Keith Bender, Kevin Friesen, and Rod Brusky were 3/4 at the plate. Rod Insko picked up the W for the Fog on the mound with another solid outing.
Thank you to the Logos team for umping and concession, and to Randy for announcing and keeping score.

Game 3 - The last game for July 10th saw Juggies' Brewers narrowly edge out the Mike's Meat Meateors by a single run, going the 6 1/2 innings in the process. With both teams missing some key players, it was a spirited, low scoring battle.  Juggies had only 9 batters come to the plate for 3 appearances while the Meateors sent 6 batters for 4 plate appearances in comparison. The Meateors had 17 hits, leaving 12 men on base while Juggies only had 13 hits and stranded only 6 runners. Mark Porter had a triple in the 3rd, Jim Dulle had a double in the 6th to score 2 runs to tie the game at 6.  Paul Savard followed up with a single to score Jim, who ran through an obvious STOP sign at third to score the 7th run of the night.  With the Meateors unable to score in their half of the final inning, the Brewers were able to enjoy a 7-6 victory.

It was a hot night at the park with good fun had by all!

Game 2 - The second game of the night was a low scoring affair as the Sauer RV Storage Lakers defeated the Cross Town Red Sox 13-7. There was no courier service for 4 out of the 7 innings during this hot Sunny night (Meta Loaf).
Highlights for the Cross Town Red Sox was a 3-3 night for Derry Ohtani Eresman, a 2-3 night for Boyd the Hammer Hamm (1 HR & 2 Dbbl’s), 2/3 night for Jack Gold Canyon Simons, Lance the rookie Knodel, Jack Ace Brown and Ken Woo’s on first.

Game 3 - Five runs in the fifth inning carried the Morrison Health Mavericks to a slim 12- 9 win over the Copper Coulee Casino Silver Foxes. Sam Montoya for the Foxes had three hits and a walk in four trips to the plate. Clean up hitter Darren Emerson also hit safely three times in four attempts for them. Leon Moch and John Engel led the way for the Mavs by going three for three. Dave Hammel contributed three RBIs.

July 8:
Game 1 - The Mavericks and Meateors battled to a well played 9-9 tie on a beautiful night at the park. Mikes held a 2-0 lead then a 7-4 lead before having to tie it in the bottom of the sixth. Tim Johnson lead the meat boys going 3-3, 3rbi’s and a great catch in left. Leon Moch and Dave Hammel went 3-4 for the Mavs. Great pitching from both Jim Fink and Dan Hamilton. On a side note Dale Weisgerber may be buying beer for the rest of the season lol.

Game 2 - The Juggies Tap House Brewers defeated a very depleted E & H Astros lineup tonight, 17-12. The Astros were missing Keith, Rick and Frank, so some very notable guys MIA. They did have a super sub in Jim Cooper, who was a perfect 3-3 at the plate. This was a strange game, so many infield hits that ended up scoring runs, and was actually quite comical. Not your picturesque slug-fest. Hits were very close for both teams, 25 - 22 for the Brewers, so it was a close game. Mike Ferre and Mark Porter had 4 hits each for Juggies. Almost everyone had 2 or 3 hits for the Astros. It was a hot, summer night, many thanks to Kasey V, our Juggie owner and sponsor, for providing our team with a feast of pizza and wings after the game. Much appreciated. Good work by the B 2 B boys tonight working their shifts.

Game 3 - The game featured a see-saw battle as the match went down to the last out with the Rebels winning 14 to 13 over the coffee guys.
Numerous hits and defensive plays on both teams. Would like to thank Harold and Cheryl Enlsen for fattening up both teams after the match. Good umping and announcing. Great night for ball.

Bruce Stuber pitched for Redi, Cross Town countered with Boyd Hamm

Game 2 - The Copper Coulee Casino Silver Foxes were firing on all cylinders in the second game of the night and beat the Logos Rebels 15-6. The Foxes scored in every inning of the game which doesn't happen very often for any team. Sam Montoya was the winning pitcher and Dean Roy took the loss. For the Rebels Chris Wandler went 3 for 3 with a single, a double and a triple and 2 RBIs. Leroy Friesen was also 3 for 3 with a double. For the foxes Boyd Kosolofski was 4 for 4 with a double and 2 RBIs, Robert Jensen was 4 for 4 with a double and 3 RBIs, and Sam Montoya was 3 for 3 with an RBI. Darren Emerson was 3 for 4 with a double and 3 RBIs and Glenn Kessler was 2 for 3 with a double and 3 RBIs. Steve Brier had a triple and was also 2 for 3 with an RBI. Super sub Walter Pratt made 3 great catches in right field with the sun shining brightly in his eyes to put a damper on any Rebel hopes for a big rally.

Game 3 - Stewart Optical put together a couple of five run innings and scored in a few others as they defeated the Garage Pub Fog 15-5. Jim Stewart had a big night for the Optical team as he hit three long bombs driving in six runs and turning three double plays from short. Darrell Bonagofsky also had a big night at the plate going 4-4 with a home run and five RBI’s, while lead off man Roland Schlenker also went 4-4, scoring every time. Seven other members of the Eye guys had a couple of hits each while Randy Biko pitched a great game mixing up pitches and keeping the FOG off balance all night.
Sherwin Lehman led the Pubs offence going three for three while Russ Cameron, Daniel Morissette, Rod Aman, Ken Longmore, Dieter Stanke and Mike Sills each picked up a couple of hits. They had lots of base runners but hit into three inning ending double plays to limit their offence.
Another beautiful night at the ball park.
