Game 3 - The final game of the evening saw Stewart Optical hang on for a 12-11 win over Logos who had 2 men on base with two outs in the final inning when Brian Hoffner hit a sinking line drive up the middle that Darrell Bonagofsky made a sliding catch on the preserve the win. Logos were lead by Chris Wandler who had three hits including two triples, Danny Stevenson with three hits including a home run and Larry Rudolf with two hits including a home run. Stewart welcomed Dan Rattai who made his first appearance of the year on his birthday and had two hits including a bases loaded triple and he also made a number of tough catches in left field. Al Dyck pitched for the first time this season and did a great job keeping the Logos batters from scoring too many runs. Darrell Bonagofsky continued his hot hitting going 3-3 while Roland Schlenker, Byron Witkowski, Randy Biko and Daryl Hubick all added a pair of hits.
The stands were packed, the parking lot was full, the concession was hopping and it was another perfect night for ball. There aren’t many leagues where a guy can hit a home run and get high fives from players on both teams.

June 3:
Game 1 - In the first game of the night on June 3, the Copper Coulee Casino Silver Foxes won a close hard fought game over the Cross Town Courier Red Sox 11-10. The winning pitcher was Boyd Kosolofski who also had a double and 2 walks. Losing pitcher was Joe Steinbacker who had a single and 2 walks.  We believe the pitchers had an agreement to walk each other as they each only walked one other batter all game. Derry Eresman, Jack Simons and Ken Wou were 3/3 for the Red Sox while Boyd Hamm contributed a 3 run home-run and a double. Paul Savage went 3/3 for the Foxes while Todd Kopek (triple), Darren Emerson, Randy Wuerfel, Glen Kessler, Steve Brier and Steve Kakuk were all 2/3. Dan Hein was 2/2 with a double. Stellar defense at third base by Robert Jensen contributed to the win as he alone was responsible for seven or eight defensive outs.

Game 3 - In a game where runs were hard to come by, the Morrison Mavericks managed to get three runs in the top of the 7th to pull off an 8 to 6 win over the Sauer Lakers.
The Sauers led for most of the game by scoring three runs in the first and again in the 4th. The Mavs scored their initial runs in the 4th when Jeff Hall smashed a tall grand slam home run that very nearly brought rain or possibly even snow. They added another run for a brief 5 - 3 lead.
Down 6 - 5 the Mavs scratched out three runs in their last at bat with Kerry Schentag and Dan Hamilton providing the key hits. Facing the meat of the Sauer order the Mavs closed the door in the bottom of the 7th thanks to a game ending catch in right field by the rookie, Derek Nielsen.

June 2:
Game 1 - Juggies Tap House Brewers defeated a strong Stewart Optical team in the first game, 12-8. A very good game, 2 evenly matched teams. Thanks to the umpires, concession workers and the people in the press box tonight.
Game Report By Jamie White

Game 2 - On a surprisingly beautiful night at one of the nicest ball parks in the country, the RV Storage Lakers battled the Logos Rebels. The Rebels who have started the season strong at 5-2 were looking to keep the streak alive, but the Lakers were up to the task of spoilers on this night. Wilf Broesky out dueled Dean Roy on the mound for a hard fought 15-12 victory. The Lakers got off to an early lead on a triple by the pride of New Brunswick, Pierre Cote. The Rebels stayed with the Lakers early though in part because of a double by Danny Stevenson who was also 3 for 4 and a 3 for 4 night from the ageless wonder, Billy Martin (Not the Yankees skipper). Dean Roy also helped himself with 3 hits as well as "Speedy Wandler" with 3 hits and Jimmy Cooper with 3 singles. For the Lakers, "Bossman Sauer" and the old Burstall Brave, Trevor Fauth, had 3 hits each both collecting important RBI.  A back and forth battle all night but when the sun went down the Lakers got the "W" to stay just above .500. The parity in the league is quite evident with all the close games this year which is super entertaining. Lakers are in action again on Tuesday night against the "hard hitting, slow pitching Mavericks". Thanks to all the volunteers again tonight. That's what makes our "ball world" go around.

Royce Hopkins led the Rockies offence going four for four. Barry Koch and Glen Stodolka each had three knocks. Keith Kleckner, Rod Brusky and Brent Carson chipped in with a pair of hits. Don Hallberg went four for four including a home run for the Meateors. Sub Chris Wandler and Garth Burton each had three hits. Sub Danny Stevenson cracked a three run homer for Mikes Meats. Jim Larson picked up the win, Jim Fink took the loss.
