While it was not the sellout organizers had hoped for, 10s and 10s of fans filed into the stands at Lorne Holden Ball Diamond to watch the inaugural Golden Geezer Intersquad Game. Team Green, coached by Keith Bender were trailing by 6 runs going into the bottom of the 7th inning. Howard Gehring led off with a triple and when Team Blue, coached by Jim Black, recorded the final out of the game (10 batters later) the score was tied 12-12! Triples were hit by Keith Bender, Russ Cameron and Howard Gehring for team Green. For team Blue, Jim Dulle and Terry Tucker hit triples and Tim MacInnis hit an in the park home run. Team Green's Harold Enslen and Jim Noon went 4/4. For Team Blue, Norm Emann and Jim Dulle went 3/4. RBI leaders were Terry Tucker, Jim Black and Lutz Perschon.
