-Game One
Elmer & Harold’s managed a 13 - 6 win over Southridge Wine & Whiskey on a beautiful spring night. Home run hitters were Dave Hammel and Keith Lutz for E & H and Randy Kambeitz for Southridge. Norm Emann legged out a smart double by hitting a ball over the outfielder’s head. In an oops of the night, Bill Ramage was so impressed with his teammate’s play at second base, he forgot to go to first base to complete the double play. When razzed about it after the game, he simply said, this is senior’s ball right?

-Game Two
It was Gerard Hittel vs the Logos. Gerard pitched a stellar game and made 10 outs out of the 21 with some great defensive plays. Majority of the offence came off of Barry Koch’s bat which was 6. Gerry Fauth had 2 solid hits to right field in the game while Kevin Sauer was 2 for 3 at the dish. Delvin Moch hit a home run in the 4th inning to bring the Logos within 5 runs. The Logos came back with 3 runs in the 7th inning to fall short for a 8-4 Lakers victory.

-Game Three
The last game of the night featured the Garage Pug FOG and the Trackside Liquor Store IPA's, this being the start of the second time around in the schedule. The IPA's came out on top tonight, winning by a score of 14-4. The FOG came out hard and fast, scoring their 4 runs on a big Grand Salami in the 1st inning off the big bat of Dave Hammel. Trackside answered with 3 runs of their own in the bottom of the 1st, then never looked back as they held the Garage scoreless the rest of the game, mostly because of excellent defense by the entire team. It was nice to get back on the field after 3 nights of rain that washed everything out all week. Thanks to the Stewart Optical crew for volunteering tonight, as well as Bob and his girls upstairs. See everyone on the weekend for our first scramble of the year. Rumour has it that there will be some high-class entertainment during supper hour, so let's go have some fun!!
