May 23:
All Games Cancelled Due To Weather.

May 22:
Game 1 - On a cool night at the ballpark the defense was sizzling for both Mikes Meateors and Juggies  Brewers with the meat boys squeaking out a 8-7 win. The Brewers had runners on first and third with none away but couldn’t push across the tying run in the seventh. Leading Mikes were Kelly Martin going 3 for three and Tim Johnson with three RBI. Blaine Lutz was three for three (2 rbi) and Dale Deis doubled and tripled with 2 rbi.

Game 2 - On a cool and breezy evening, the Copper Coulee Casino Silver Foxes took on the Cross Town Courier Red Sox in the middle game. It was a hard fought and well played game by both teams and some great defensive gems by both squads. The Silver Foxes scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 1st for a 5-2 lead, but by the 6th inning the score was knotted at 8-8. The Silver Foxes scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th and held off the Red Sox and their last bats for the win 11-8. Highlights for the Sox were Todd Kopec 3-3 with a triple/Boyd Ham 2-3/double/Derry Eresman 2-3 singles/Leroy Freisen 2-3 double. For the Silver Foxes Randy Kambeitz 3-3 with a 3run homer/Bob Marfleet 3-3 singles/Randy Wuerfel 3-3/double/Glen Stodolka/Darren Emerson/Sam Montoya all 2-3/singles.

Game 3 - The last game of the night featured the "Sauer RV Storage Lakers against the "Garage Pub Fog". The Lakers were coming off a soggy victory over the Coffee Clan the night before while the FOG had lost a one run heart breaker to the Redi Rockies. Tonight's tilt was an entertaining affair for the 7+ fans that braved the frigid plus 10 temperatures when the first pitch was thrown.
The Lakers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first on a triple by Darren Heinze and a sac fly RBI by Darrell "Black Eye" Maser who also had a 3 for 4 evening at the plate. The FOG responded quickly in the bottom of 1 after a double by Coach Buss. Unfortunately for the FOG (Forgetful Old Guys), that would be as close as they would get all night. The Lakers scored 4 more in the 2nd paced by a double by "Jeter Scherger" who not only went 4 for 4 but made his usual highlight reel plays at short to knock the SUDS right out of the Pubs Boys.
The Foggers responded with 3 in the 3rd due to some clutch hitting from Dan Hein who was 2 for 3 and Coach Stroh who was also 2 for 3 with 2 doubles. It just wasn't enough though as the Lakers scored every inning with big nights coming from "Crazy Legs Kleckner" who was 3 for 3 and Walter "I can see clearly now in right field" Pratt who had a big night as well at the dish with 3 hits.
On the mound Wilf "I'll bend but I'll never break" Broesky worked himself out of a few jams to grab the win. Lefty Dulle took the loss on this frigid night at Lorne Holden.
After the frost had settled and the grill was shut down the final was Lakers 15 the Pub Crew 9.
Thanks to the Mavs who seemed to thrive without their gloves and bats to cook some great burgers and make all the right calls on the field. And of course thanks to "Harry Caray Biko" and his sidekicks up in the press box for the great coverage.

May 21:
Game 1 - Game one on Tuesday’s docket proved to be a nail biter as the Redi Recycle Rockies squeaked out an 11-10 victory over the Garage Pub. The Pub had the tying run at third in the top of the seventh inning but a ground out to the shortstop ended the game. Al Martens led the Rockies offence going three for four. Rick Parker had two knocks for Redi, including a towering three run homer. Kevin Friesen, Darrell Boechler, Keith Bender, Rod Sommerfeld, Larry Biko and Philippe Marleau all had a pair of hits for the Rockies. Kerry Buss had two hits for the Pub, including a three run home run. Jim Dulle knocked out three hits for the Pub. Jim Larson picked up the win, Rob Price took the mound loss.

Game 2 - On a beautiful night at LHF where the aroma of burgers and onions filled the air which attracted Many fans, players and later on the rain.
The Station Coffee Longshots took a 2 to 0 lead after their first at bat. The Sauer RV Storage Lakers scored 3 runs of their own in the bottom of the first inning to take the lead.
For the rest of the shortened game (5 innings) the Sauer RV Storage Lakers closed the doors and allowed no more room for storage or runs. Final score was 12 to 2 for the Sauer RV Storage Lakers. The moral of this story was that the Station Coffee Longshots took too long of a coffee break and started hitting K cups right at the Laker fielders while the Sauer RV Storage Lakers were hitting K cups between the Station Coffee Longshot fielders.
Highlights for the Station Coffee Longshots were; Gregg Martin going 2 for 2 and Wayne road runner Miller making a great catch with his 55 year old legs on line drive hit up the middle that would have scored 2 runs.
Highlights for the Sauer RV Storage Lakers were; Darren Heinz & Bam Bam Koch hit 2 hard line drives that knocked the sun out of the sky for the rest of the game, Gerard Rawley Fingers Hittel pitched a gem, Clint Kleckner & Barry Koch went 3/3, and Walter Pratt, Lutz Perschon, Wilf Bbroesky & Brian Christman went 2 for 2.
Thanks to the Umps, Cooks and score keepers for their excellent work and for not taking any coffee breaks.

Game 3 - Cancelled Due To Weather

May 20:
Game 1 - The Station Coffee Longshots hosted the Logos Rebels. The Rebels took an early lead with four runs in the top of the first inning, while the Longshots responded with two in their half. The fifth inning saw both teams score five runs each. The Rebels secured their first season victory with a 14-12 win. Paul Savard hit a pair of singles and a double, Sherwin Lehman went 3-for-3, and Danny Stevenson smashed two significant home runs for the Rebels. For the Longshots, Blair Hennes delivered a pair of singles and a double, Gregg Martin struck three solid singles, and Dave Hammel, stepping in for the eleventh spot, reached a perfect 3-for-3, including a home run. On this particularly cool and dreary evening, we would like to extend special thanks to Juggies for their support of the kitchen and umpire staff, as well as to Darlene & Lutz in the score keeping and broadcast booth.
Game Report By Darryl Bartman

Game 2 - On a cool, rainy night, Elmer & Harold’s Astros managed a 20 - 7 win over the Morrison Health Mavericks.
For the Astros, both Kelly & Keith Lutz were 4/4 and they each had a home run. Darrell Jesse and Bill Ramage were 3/3, Larry Lutz was 2/2 with a sacrifice fly and Gord Deibert was 2/2 with a walk.
For the Mavericks, Trevor Fauth was 3/3 with 2 triples. Garth Stark was 3/3 with a home run. Todd Ammann was also 3/3 on the night.
Thanks to the Juggies’ guys for a great job umping under tough weather conditions and to the guys in the canteen that kept the fans well fed.
