Team 65 went 1 for 1 today as they dropped their first game 19 – 9, but then were able to rebound with a 12 – 6 victory despite the 42degree temperature. The hi-lite of the tournament so far was when Gord Diebert decide that Emerson Davies had ran enough after Emerson hit what looked like an in the park home run. Gord, decided to take a seat ON third base making Emerson take a quick rest between second and third, Gord then went on to be safe at home. Team 60 had a tough start on their first day of the tournament losing both of their games. Their first game took 2 extra innings to declare a winner as they dropped a 17 – 16 decision. The second game was also a close one as they fell short losing 15 – 13. |
