July 13:
-Game 1:
In the first game of night, the Copper Coulee Silver Foxes defeated the Station Coffee Longshots by a close score of 6-5. It was a very tight game by two evenly matched teams with great defensive plays by both teams. Both pitchers, Roger King and Trent Rasch pitched great games and held two very good offensive teams to single digits. There were no home runs, but numerous double plays by both teams and a great play by John Engel and Grant Mackay to gun a fast running Ken Wou at home.

-Game Two
The second game of the night turned out to be barn burner. For the fans that left too early because they thought it was over they would have had to listen to all the excitement on their radio on the way home. The Canadian Energy Lakers jumped out to a 3-1 lead early but the tenacious Crosstown Courier Red Sox battled hard in the middle innings to carry an 8-3 lead into the bottom of 6. The Lakers had been asleep from the 3rd inning on but erupted for 5 big runs in the bottom of 6 to tie it 8-8. The Sox managed to push across a run in the top of the 7th to go ahead 9-8 but it could have been much worse for the Lakers. Walter Pratt made what arguably will be the best catch a right fielder will make all season off a slashing line drive that kept the deficit to one. The Lakers then came in on the bottom of 7 and loaded the bases for Kochy who had to fill in at shortstop after a late scratch to the line up. He promptly ripped a line drive double down the 3rd base line to score 2 and give the Lakers a 10-9 win over the Red Sox. Multiply hit games by Darrell Bonenfant, Tim Johnson and Kochy helped keep the game close. Leroy Friesen who was also a late fill for the MIA Brian Hoffner in left field, made no less than 7 catches to keep the Sox off the base paths. For the Sox it was impossible to keep Darrell Maser and Harv Buye off the white pillows as they were both perfect on the night. Great ball game on a beautiful night at the park.

-Game Three
In the last game of the evening, Stewart Optical defeated the Garage Pub 12-6. Rob Fisher led the Optical team with three hits and scored three runs as well. Darryl Bonagofsky hit a monster shot and added a double while Kevin Lane, Les Zeller, Blair Bosch, and Dennis Young all chipped in with couple of hits as well. Bob Tetz had a great game defensively at third saving a few runs. Dale Deis, Larry Biko and Dale Weisgerber all had a couple of hits for the Pub team who left a lot of runners stranded throughout the game. Fred Bohnet and Dean Roy both pitched strong games for their respective teams.

July 12:
-Game 1
Southridge ended their losing streak by a score of 13-8. After allowing a five run first the defense tightened up and the bats came alive. The beer was definitely colder after this one.

-Game Three
The Morrison Mavericks subdued  the under manned Cross Town Red Sox 12 to 5 on a sticky night at Lorne Holden Field. A five run third inning combined with a stout defense paved the way for the Mavs. Sherwin Lehman went three for three at the plate for the Mavericks while knocking in three runs and scoring two himself as well as starring defensively. For the Red Sox Bob Marfleet was hitting the ball with authority and Darrell Maser muscled a two run homer over the left field fence.

July 11:
-Game Play 1
Scott Goldade had a five for five night at the plate as the Redi Recyclers defeated the Morrison Health Mavericks 15-7. Jim Larson and Kevin Friesen had four hit games. Joe Steinbacher pitched for Redi. Sherwin Lehman was all over the field for the Mavs making numerous catches at Rover.

-Game 2
A very good close game tonight between the Trackside Liquor Store IPA's and Southridge Wine & Whiskey, with the IPA's squeaking out a 10-9 victory. Two very evenly matched teams, the deciding smash was a bottom of the 6th Grand Salami off the bat of Blaine Lutz that won the game. Both teams played excellent defense. Randy Kambeitz hit a dinger for the Southridge Crew, a fun game. Thanks to the Station Coffee boys for running the show tonight, and to Bob & Darlene in the press box.
Game Report By Jamie White

-Game 3
E&H defeated the Logos tonight in one of those Senior Slow Pitch games where one team finds the gaps and one team finds the gloves. Keith Lutz played a spectacular game at shortstop accounting for 8 outs in spite of being burdened with spectating 2nd and 3rd basemen. The Lutz brothers each hit home runs. For the Logos, Doug Davies made two excellent running catches in the outfield. Larry Rudolph made what can only be described in the words of Danny Gallivan as a "scintillating play" at 1st base.
