Tournament Summary:

July 16:

After the first day of the tournament team 65 has a 2 – 0 record. Team 70 has a 1 – 1 record. In the 65’s first game both Sherwin Lehman and Dennis Young had in the park home runs. In the second game Emerson Davies hit 2 in the park home runs. Though the 70’s had a tough start to the tournament, the team bounced back in a big way to beat team Calgary 23 – 6 in their second game. Howard Gehring had 2 in the park home runs in the victory.

July 17:

Day 2 of the tournament has come to an end. Though the 65’s lost both of their games today, they still walked away with a bronze metal. They lost both games by a total of 3 runs combined. Emerson Davies had a in the park home run in the second game. The 70’s had a great start to the day with a win over Calgary by a score of 20 – 8, with Clint Phaff and Eric Stephenson hitting in the park home runs. Unfortunately they could not hold the momentum and they lost the second game 22 – 6. There final standings will be known later today.
