Team 70 Linen Tournament June 2 and 3 2018

Day One Highlights:
Day 1 of the Linden sports day has come to an end with MH Huff & Puff 70's going 1 and 1.
Our first draw was against Strike Force from Calgary and we came away winners by a score of 17 - 4.
Our bats went quiet for most of the second game against Calgary Eagles which we lost
18 - 6.
Larry Lutz had a mishap while unhooking his 5th wheel this morning causing him to get 30
some stitches in his right hand (could have been much worse) so assisted with the coaching. All in all it was a good day. Day Two Highlights: Day 2 of the tournament saw the H&P 70's face the Eagles from Calgary a second time as there were only 4 teams in our division. We gave them a more competitive game this time but fell short 9-8 in the Eagle's bottom of the 7th. Our 2nd game was against the Red Birds 70's from Calgary as well. Once again the opposition bats were better and we were defeated 19-8. A big thank you to our scorekeeper Kandi Davies and thanks to the team for a fun weekend. |
