Team 70 St. Albert Tournament Aug 18 & 19

Tournament Notes:
Day One Hi-lightsFirst game was against Goodtimer 70's. Score was back and forth. One great defensive play by Stan Aberle on a line drive at third. H&P's were down by 4 1/2 runs into the bottom of the 7th but the H&P's scored 5 to win 12-11.5. We faced St. Albert Dynasty in the 2nd game which turned out to be a hockey game. Dynasty prevailed 4 1/2 to 4. Day Two Hi-Lites In Sunday's first game we took on the Calgary 70's and played well both offensively and defensively and came away with a 17-11 victory. St. Albert Buzzards were our next opponents and though we played well on defense our bats were silent. We only managed 11 hits in 7 innings and lost 6-0. Big thanks Kandi Davies for score keeping and to all the guys for a great weekend. |
