Game 2 - Well, that was interesting , a tale of 2 games. The Cross Town Red Sox scored 10 runs in the first 2 innings, banging out 14 hits and then “CRICKETS”  for the next 4 innings (0 runs and only 4 hits) 3 more runs in the top of the 7th inning helped to secure a 13-6 victory over the Morrison Health Mavericks.  Highlights for the Mavericks included a 2 run homer by Garth Stark and Keith Lutz going 3-3. For the Red Sox they were led by Glen (birthday boy) Ebel who was 4-4, Todd Kopec 3-4 (with a double) and Boyd Hamm also 3-4 (with a double and a triple).

Game 3 - Stewart Optical scored 13 runs in the first three innings and held the Logos Rebels to just 5 runs as they defeated the Rebels 14-5. The top of the order was strong for the eye guys as the first four batters scored 12 of the 14 runs. John Engel had another big night going 4 for 4 with a couple of doubles and Ron Pisoni added a triple, double and single while Kevin Lane, Bruce Stuber and Boyd Hamm all chipped in with a couple of hits including a home run by Boyd. Randy Biko and Bruce Stuber combined for a couple of big outs at first that helped keep the Rebels from scoring a lot more runs. For the Rebels Danny Stevenson, Mike Sills and Sherwin Lehman all had three hits including a home run by Danny. Fred Kelln and Darryl Bartman shared the pitching duties for the Rebels while Bruce Stuber tied the rubber for Stewart Optical.

June 25:

Rick Parker led the Rockies offence with three hits including a grand slam. On the night, Parker drove in seven runs. Kevin Friesen enjoyed a four hit night for the Rockies including a towering six inch single. Rod Brusky had three knocks for Redi. Keith Bender, Rod Groves, Jim Black and  Howard Gehring had a pair of hits for the Rockies. Mike Ferre, Kerry Buss, Mark Porter, Brent Carson and Rob Price all had two hits for the Pub. Price took the loss on the hill, while Larry Biko got the win and Jim Larson the save for Redi.
Game Report By Kevin Friesen

Game 2 - A very close, great game for the 2nd battle of the night. Juggies TapHouse Brewers prevailed over the Logos Rebels, 13-12. The Brewers were leading 13-9 going into the top of the 7th, Logos scored 3 to get close, but not quite enough to get to the bottom of the 7th. It was also very close in hits, Logos 23 to the Brewers 24. Logos were missing their allstar SS tonight, Danny Stevenson, he is usually good for a couple smashes. Their top hitters were leadoff man Chris Wandler, a perfect 4-4 and Ken Wou, 3-3. Sherwin Lehman had 2 hits with an inside the park HR, Larry Rudolph, Ron Jarvis, Mike Sills, Fred Kelln, Roland Schlenker and Graeme Langford all had 2 hits. For the Brewers, leading the way with perfect nights at the plate were Todd Toews, Jack Simons, Dave Sawatsky and Vern Herter, all 3-3. Good pitching performances by Fred Kelln (no walks) and Vern Herter(1 walk). Thanks to Mike's guys for your hard work tonight, and Randy and Darlene in the press box.

Game 3 - The last game of the night was a close game with the Sauer RV Lakers leading the Station Coffee Longshots 7-4 after 6 innings. The coffee break was over for the Sauer RV Lakers who scored 3 runs in the 7th inning to come away with a 10 - 4 victory over the Station Coffee Longshots. Highlights for the Station Coffee Longshots were a 4/4 night for Grant sure shot MacKay, a 3/3 night for Wayne Road runner Miller and a 3/4 night for Dean never quit Roy. Trent Spinner Rash pitched very well in only his second start of the year.
Highlights for the Sauer RV Lakers were Barry Steady Eddie Koch who went 4/4 with a HR and 2 running, diving highlight catches to keep the Station Coffee Longshots off the scoreboard.  Walter Sunny Pratt and Good Bush Gordon both went 3/3 at the dish. The Sauer RV Storage Lakers got some fine pitching from Wilf Grampa Broesky who brought his cheering section to the game by Huber and held the Station Coffee Longshots to only 4 runs. There was more great defense from 3rd baseman Gerard Mookie Hittel who almost had more backhand catches in this game then he backhands when he was a young lad almost growing up.The turning point of the game came in the 4th inning when Clint Kleckner made a great catch in Right Center by catching 50% of the ball for the final out and that’s all he needed. Special thanks again to the announcer, score keeper and the umps who were making $5 side bets and for not taking any coffee breaks until after all 3 games.

June 24:
Game 1 - On a night where the fans passed on the best burger in town to stay home and watch the stanley cup final, the Lakers weren’t taking any gambles or bets, took their bats out of RV storage and came away with a 14 to 4 Victory.
Highlights for the Copper Coulee Casino Silver Foxes were Glen the Hulk Stadalka going 3/3 with a HR, Doug Sneaky Roberts 3/3 and some fine defensive plays by SS Boyd soft hands Kosolofsky.
Highlights for the Sauer RV Storage Lakers were Barry Boom Boom Koch going 4/4 with a HR, Wilf Carter Broesky 3/3, Clint climb the ladder (not quite to the top) Kleckner 3/3, Darrel Bet on Maser 3/4 and Kevin MVP Sauer 3/4. The score would have been a lot different if it wasn’t for 3 outstanding line drives 2 caught by MVP Kevin Sauer, one by Darren Ho Hum Heinz 57 and one diving catch by Barry Pillar Koch. Those cat like reflexes kept the Copper Coulee Casino Silver Foxes off the score sheet in the first 3 innings.
Special thanks to the fans that came out to watch the only game in town, instead of going gambling at the Copper Coulee Casino or watching the game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals. Also a special thanks to the cooks who continue to cook great burgers and to the umps who made some great calls when the cards were on the table. I don’t want to miss thanking the Announcer and score keeper because without them the teams would have to play rock, paper and scissors to see who would keep score per inning.

Game 2 - In a game that seemed like neither team wanted to win they both got their way as Station Coffee and Stewart Optical played to a 17-17 draw. The game featured as many walks as hits and Station built an early 8-2 lead before seeing that lead turn into a 17-10 deficit heading into the seventh inning. They scored seven runs and had two runners on base before the Eye Guys finally got the third out. A couple of hard hit balls in the bottom of the seventh found gloves instead grass and the game ended in a draw. Bruce Stuber and Randy Biko pitched for the Optical guys and Joe Steinbecker was on the mound for Station. John Engel hit the only home run of the game and there were many guys on both teams with a couple of hits. It was a beautiful evening for a great ball game, unfortunately it seemed like both teams were thinking a little too much about Hockey tonight but it was entertaining to watch
Game Report By Jeff Thompson

Game 3 - On a night where the humidity index was higher than the batting averages, the Cross Town Red Sox came away with an 8-6 victory over the Redi Recycle Rockies. Highlights for the evening  included Keith Bender 2-2 and Howie Gehring also 2-2 for the Rockies. On the Red Sox side it was  Todd Kopec 3-3 with a triple, Harv Buye 2-2, Dan Hamilton and Bill Lapshinoff both 2-3.  Todd Kopec, Boyd Hamm, and Brian Stonehouse did their best vacuum cleaner impressions “HOOVERING” up quite a few of the Rockies hard hit ground balls.
