Game 2- The Mavs scored their first three batters but were held off the board from that point on and were taken down 7 to 3 by the Garage Pub. The top of the order scored six runs for the Pub. Kerry Buss, smacked a single and a double to go with a walk to score three times. Game 1 - The Sauer RV Storage Lakers and Stewart Optical opened up the 2024 season of the Medicine Hat Senior Slowpitch league with a very quick game where defense outshone the offence for both teams. After a single run in the top of the first for the Lakers the game was scoreless until the bottom of the fourth before the Eye Guys strung together three hits including a long home run by John Engel for all the scoring in the game. Ron Pisoni made his league debut with a pair of doubles and a few great catches in the outfield, no one else on either team had more than one hit as the pitching and defense for both teams was in mid season form. It’s great to be back at the ballpark seeing everyone again. Hopefully it’s another great season for everyone and we can all stay relatively injury free.

Game 3 - The 3rd game of the night featured the Morrison Mavericks and Juggies TapHouse Brewers. The Brewers came out on top, 14-6, we came out swinging, and our defense was able to hold off a strong Mavs lineup. It was great to see everyone again, nice to have some new teammates and see our former mates still playing on other teams. The draft is a great way to mix things up a bit, and welcome to all the new players in our league. You will soon realize, as we all do, that it is the best organization in the business.
