Game 2 - Stewart Optical played some great defense and added just enough offence to pull out a
9-0 win over the logos rebels. The rebels had lots of well hit balls, but they seem to find leather most of the night. For the eye guys, Chad Stahl, Darryl Bonogofsky, Fred Kelln, and Tim Seitz all had a couple of hits. Fred Kelln pitched a strong game for Stewart Optical and hit the ball exceptionally well. It was a well played fast game, with very few errors.

Game 2 - In the second game of the evening, the Copper Coulee Casino Silver Foxes hosted  the Station Coffee Longshots and came away with an 8-4 victory. Cal Mayer was a bright spot for the Long Shots going 3 for 3 with a 2 run bomb. Trent Rasch was also 3 for 3 with 3 singles. For the Silver Foxes Kerry Buss was 3 for 3 with a double. Every player for the Foxes reached base at least once. The Foxes were happy to have Roger King back in the line-up as he was 2 for 2 and has been a good luck charm in his first two games back after a long absence. Trent Rasch pitched well but took the loss and Sam Montoya was the winning pitcher.

Game 3 - An awesome display of power by two very evenly matched teams for our last game tonight, Juggies TapHouse Brewers prevailing for a 20-14 win over the Elmer & Harold's Astros. It was a close game after 3, 10-10, then the Brewers kept the pedal on the gas and hung on for the win. Multiple home runs by both teams, with Al Martens, Blaine Lutz and Dieter Stanke went back-to-back-to-back to seal the deal. These two teams finished our season against each other with 1 win each and 1 tie, that's how close we are. I don't have the score sheet, so I can't remember all the details, but both teams had guys with multiple hard hits. It was just a great game that was fun to be involved in. E & H had 2 super subs tonight, Tim Mayer and Larry Lutz. Thanks guys. Thanks to the Lakers for their hard work on the diamond, and also a very busy night at the concession, and Lutz and Gary in the press box.

Game 1 - Very warm evening and the bats were also warm between Stewart Optical and Mike’s Meats Meateors. The game was close with Stewart Optical hitting a couple home runs, one by Jim Stewart and Darrell Bonogofsky a grand slam. Mike’s Meats Meateors was lead by Randy Kambeitz’s home run and Tom Baker’s pitching and 4/4 evening at lead off along with Kelly Martin’s 4/4 night with a game tying hit in the bottom of the 6th to get the Meateor’s Rod Groves a chance and succeeded with a game winning run, after Stewart Optical scored 9 runs in the top of the 6th, to go ahead by one run and victory. Thanks to our sub Mike Shantz helping Mike’s Meats to victory and a 3/3 night.

Game 2 - Talk about an exciting finish to a well played ball game. Bottom of the 6th inning bases loaded with two out and the score 10 - 9 in favor of Elmer & Harold’s over the Garage Pub, E & H managed to get the final out and preserve the win. For the Garage Pub, both Doug Roberts and Todd Kopec were 3/3 with Todd putting one out of the park. Doug made an amazing catch on a ball that was drilled back at him. For the E & H boys, Mark Porter went 3/3, Keith Kleckner was 3/4 with an inside the park home run and a triple.
Thanks to the umps and the canteen crew.

Aug 28:
Game 1 - The visiting Juggies Tap House Brewers came out firing on all cylinders at 5:15 tonight, scored 14 runs in the first 3 innings, and held on to win against Redi Recyclers, 14-3. Blaine Lutz and owner/GM, Kasey Valkenburg, both hit 2 RBI dingers in the first inning for a quick 5 and we were on our way. We were able to keep the Recyclers down to runs in their 1st and 3rd innings and scoreless the rest of the way. They left 10 runners on base, and the Brewers just left 6, so that was the big difference. The Brewers outhit the Redi boys, 20-10. Dieter Stanke, Garth Burton and Glen Ebel were all perfect at the plate. Scott Goldade and David Camphor reached base every AB as well. Thanks to the Mavs for their excellent work tonight, and Beek and Dar upstairs.
