-Game One
Tonight the Elements, now known as the Copper Coulee Casino Silver Foxes, and the Redi Recyclers played a wild game that ended up in a 15-15 tie. Throughout the game the lead went back and forth until the Recyclers put on a balanced hitting clinic in the middle innings and went up 15-5.The Silver Foxes stormed back in the last 2 innings with John Engel hitting a grand slam and Andy Stroh with 2 dingers to tie it up.

-Game Two
Only a partial score is available from the tight game between the Logo's Rebels and the Morrison Mavericks and that is 9. Neither team homered so there is little to report on the offensive side. Perry Nurse hit safely twice at least and scored two runs and possibly more for the Rebels. Second sacker "Scooter" Schlenker knocked in four Maverick runs and was delighted to have finally crossed home plate himself. In the end the game was just too close to call so a final result was unavailable at press time

-Game Three
On a beautiful night at the ballpark, the Red Sox and the Canadian Energy Lakers went at it toe to toe,  and when the dust had settled nothing was settled as it ended up in a 12 -12 tie. It was a see-saw battle all night long. Lots of good hits and fielding. Barry Koch hit two long shots for the Lakers. Thanks to Dean Roy who subbed for the Red Sox and Brian Cooney and Jeff Hall who subbed for the Lakers.

-Game Two
Stewart Optical survived a six error game by their third baseman and kept their win one lose one streak alive with a 17-8 win over the Garage Pub. Once again Jim Stewart had a big night at the plate with three big bombs and Kevin Lane also added a first inning shot. Chad Stahl had another great game at the plate with three solid hits while Dennis Young, Larry Savage, Rob Fisher, Darryl Bonagofsky, Paul Edmundson and Les Zeller added a couple of hits apiece. Fred Bohnet pitched his usual solid game and kept the Pub batters on their toes. Rob Fisher and Darryl Bonagofsky both made big defensive plays to cut down rallies while Les Zeller was solid all night at short.
For the Pub Dave Hammel nailed a monster shot and Danny Stevenson and Dale Deis both had a couple of big hits. Dale Deis also made a great sliding catch out in left centre that ended an inning and saved a couple of runs. Another beautiful night down at the park with some great plays, some not so great plays and amazing burgers. Thanks to the guys from Station Coffee for looking after the umping and the concession.

May 31:
-Game One
Elmer & Harold's - 8, Stewart Optical - 7
In a very close match with the bases loaded and two out in the bottom of the 6th inning, Stewart Optical's Fred Kelln hit a ball to right field that looked like the winning hit. However, Elmer & Harold's Frank Merkl made an outstanding catch to end the game and preserve the win for his team.

-Game Two
The Trackside Liquor Store IPA's bats came out hot again tonight, beating the Southridge Wine & Whiskey team 15-7 in a 6 inning game. Trackside started the 1st with 5 runs and never looked back the rest of the game. Southridge outfielder, Randy Kambeitz, hit a monster shot that cleared the trees in LF to make it close, but Al Martens followed with an off field HR of his own to help the IPA's seal the win. Lots of good hits for Trackside, everyone contributing with solid hits off pitcher, Jim Dulle. Jim did help himself with some big hits of his own, banging a fly ball off the fence in right. Thanks to the Mavericks for kitchen and umpiring duties, and Darrell and Darlene upstairs in the booth.

May 30:
-Game One
Another good game between two good teams for the first game tonight, Trackside IPA's outscoring the Crosstown Courier Red Sox by a score of 16-10. Some very good performances from both benches tonight: for the Red Sox, Don Hallberg, 3-4 with an inside the park HR, Darrell Maser and Howard Gehring, both 3-4, and sub Kelly Lutz, 2-3 with a towering HR.
For the IPA's:  Blaine Lutz was 4-4 with a grand slam, which pretty much sealed the deal.  Both Pudge Bartman and Al Martens were 3-4, Al with a solo HR. Brian Stonehouse pitched a great game and also helped himself out at the plate with a 3-3 night. Dale Wood chipped in with a 3 walk night, which helped us  get to the top of the lineup and the heavy hitters. Thanks to the Mavericks crew, who were our volunteers tonight, golden throat Randy Biko on the mike, and Darlene Black pushing the buttons.
