July 26 - 29 Scores and Hi-Lites


July 29:
   Game 1:
     On a warm summer night the Cross Town Red Sox and the Coffee Station took to the field.  
When the dust had settled the game ended in a 8-8 tie. Report Robert Marfleet
   Game 2:
     The Redi Recyclers came away with a 12 - 10 victory Stewart Optical. Scott Goldade had a great night at short stop. Report Jim Larson
   Game 3:
     The final game of the night had E&H starting off with a couple of runs in the top half of the first. Pretty even game the rest of the way. Phillipe Marleau had a strong game at the plate going 3-3. Rod Insko threw a solid game on the mound for the Elements. E&H continues their play by a well balanced line up. E&H held off the Elements in the bottom of the seventh with Dale Haas catching a fly ball for the 3rd out for the win. Final score E&H 11 the Elements 7. Great calls by the umpires Dennis Young and Tom Baker along with the  play by play by Larry Biko all from the Garage Pub.

July 28:
   Game 1:
     The first few innings were high scoring affairs with the Logos leading 10 to 7. The score was 14 to 10 going into the 7th inning until the CEL threw a couple of touch downs less a single point to go ahead 23 to 14. Timely hitting by the whole team. Dan Stephenson hit bullets, Tim Johnson went 5 for 5 at the plate and Rob Fisher is still running. Report Curtis Scherger
   Game 2:

   Game 3:
     A fantastic back and forth game that could of gone either, but Stewart Optical came out on top.
Some good defense and offense plays by both teams

July 27:
   Game 1:
     Southridge Wine & Whisky and Logos played to a 10-10 tie. Randy Kambeitz tied the game with a 3 run homer in the bottom of the 7th for Southridge Wine & Whiskey. Report Kerry Schentag
   Game 2:

   Game 3:
     The Garage Pub prevailed in a see saw battle over Trackside Liquor Store 15 to 12.  Darrell Bonagofsky was trying to save Larry Biko's legs by hitting 2 home runs for a 6 rbi night. He actually had 2 more rbi's but we maxed out in a 5 run inning. Farmer was seeing if he could check for moisture in the right field foul line good effort Glen. Report Larry Biko
July 26:
   Game 1:
     The Red Sox got off to a great start scoring 4 runs in the first inning. Then it was a tight struggle for the next couple of innings. The Red Sox scored 3 more runs to go ahead 7-2 then exploded for 6 runs in the top of the 7th inning including Royce Hopkins 3 run homer and then Roger King shut down the Lakers to finish the game. Final score Red Sox 13-Lakers 2. Report Robert Marfleet
   Game 2:
     The second game of the night had the Garage Pub against E and H Auto. The game started off with a big inning for E and H as they scored 4. The Pub eventually made a comeback led by the Elite hitting of Darrell Bonogofsky who had a 2 RBI hit and Dennis Young had an RBI hit as well. Ever player on the Pub chipped in tonight as all players had a hit and 5 players had 3 hits. E and H had strong performance from Jimmy Porsche who had a big 3 hit game. Kelly Martin came up clutch and had the game tying RBI double in the 7th. Kelly Lutz then hitting in the game winning run to put E and H over the top. Final score was 16-13 for E and H.    Game 3:
     Kevin lane hit 2 home runs scoring 6 rbi for the Redi Recyclers to help them to a 15 - 9 victory over the Trackside IPA's. Report Jim Larson.
