Final Report:
8:30 am game
The HP played the early game and the playing conditions were bad. Very strong winds made pitching and fielding difficult. Despite this, the HP pulled out a 21 - 14 win over the Silver Streakers (3rd win against this team). Jim Fink went the distance and did a great job throwing strikes despite the crazy wind. Highlights for the HP were Larry Biko going 4/4, Larry Hurrell, David Fusaro, Jim Fink and Sherwin Lehman all went 3/4 with Sherwin legging out an inside the park home run.
10:00 am game
The HP made it to the gold medal game but had to settle for the silver medal after Rundy’s Legends pulled out a 16 - 9 win. Jim Larson went the distance consistently throwing strikes into the steady wind. Both teams and all the fans were happy to see the end of this game played under cold, very windy conditions.
A very special thank you to Margaret, Hilda and Joy for their scorekeeping and to all the spouses for cheering on the Huff and Puffs.
Day Four Report:
In a lopsided score, the Rundy’s Legends, consisting of a collection of players from all over the USA, dealt the Huff and Puffs a 24 - 5 defeat. The HP bats were silent except for the second inning when the team scored its 5 runs.

In our 10 am game, the HP had their bats tuned up and pulled out a 23 - 12 win over the Silver Streakers from Bakersfield, CA. Three 5 run innings did most of the damage. Day One Report:
In the first game of the tournament the Huff n Puffs (HP) lost 10 - 9 to a team from Texas. In the time shortened bottom of the 6th inning, we made a valiant effort scoring 4 runs but fell just short. Sherwin Lehman went 3/3 as did our pick up, David Fasarc.
In the back to back 2nd game of the day, the heat of the day or more likely the speed of the Hawaiian ball players, saw the HP boys lose 13 - 5 in a 5 inning game. Kenn Kallis went 2/2 and both Bill Ramage and Jim Larson hit triples while Jim Fink hit a double.
