Day Two Final Report:
     The Medicine Hat Huff & Puff 60s came up just a little short in their effort to repeat as gold medalist at the Mesquite Senior Games. On Sunday afternoon, the Huff & Puffs dropped a 15-14 extra inning decision to the Road Warriors from Arizona. In the final, Jim Stewart went four for four. Blaine Lutz went two for four with a home run. The Huff & Puffs, silver medalist finished with a 5-2 overall record, both losses coming against the Road Warriors. Earlier on Sunday Medicine Hat defeated Global Force 60s from Vancouver twice 26-12 and 17-4. The Huff & Puffs also on Sunday hammered the Global Force 65s 18-2.
Overall on Sunday, Blaine Lutz went 11 for 15, Leon Moch and Jim Stewart were 10 for 14 and Kevin Friesen went 9 for 9.  On the mound, Gerard Hittel was 2-1 and Blaine Lutz 1-0.  Next up for Medicine Hat, the Huntsman Senior Games in St. George, Utah. The Huff & Puffs play Monday at 5:50 against Bowers Construction and at 7:10 against Hawaii 5-0.

Day One Report:
     Without a cloud in the sky and temperatures hovering around 40C, the Medicine Hat Huff & Puff 60s had a 2-1 record on their opening day at a tournament in Mesquite, Nevada.  In their opening game, the Huff & Puff defeated the Alberta Grizzlies 18-8. Chris Wandler and Todd Kopec both went for for four. Jim Stewart and Kelly Martin both had a pair of hits. Gerard Hittel picked up the win. In game two, the Huff & Puffs struggled at the plate losing 16-15 to the Road Warriors from Arizona. Royce Hopkins collected three hits. Jim Stewart took the loss on the mound. In game three, Medicine Hat upended the Global Force from Vancouver 16-6.  Todd Kopec, Jim Stewart and Royce Hopkins all had three hits. Gerard Hittel picked up the win. Medicine Hat Will close out preliminary play Sunday at 10:15 against the Sun City Sidekicks from Arizona.
