Game 1 - On a night of some really good plays and some not so good. The Game ended up with the Redi Recyclers defeating Juggies Tap House by a score of 19 to 16 in a high scoring affair. Some good hitting by Redi with Keith Bender going 4/5 Glen Stololka 4/4 and a few others going 3/4. For Juggies Mark Porter going 4/4, Jamie White 4/4, Jim Dulle 3/4, Dale Deis 3/4 and Mike ferre hit an inside park Home run. It was an exciting game.

Game 2 - The Elmer & Harold’s Astros avoided a sweep of the season series against the Garage Pub Fog by posting a 12 - 8 win on a beautiful evening at Lorne Holden field. For the Astros, Frank Merkl was a perfect 4/4 in the lead off position. Jim Black and Rick Parker were both 3/3 at the plate. For the Fog, Ron Jarvis was 3/3, Dieter Stanke was 3/4 and Sherwin Lehman legged out a triple. A big thanks to Darlene Black and Sam Montoya in the broadcasting booth and to the Copper Coulee Casino for looking after the umping and concession duties.

Aug 28:
Game 1 - In a game with more good defense than offence, Stewart Optical scored just enough to hang on for a 9-7 win over the Logos Rebels. Jim Stewart, Dan Rattai and sub Mike Peters each had two hits for the Eye Guys while no one else on the team had more than one, but they were able to string together enough hits when they needed them to score a few runs. Jim Stewart hit a three run home run in the first and Darrell Bonagofsky doubled for the only extra base hits off pitcher Darryl Bartman. First Baseman Gord Moore had a big game defensively making a number of big plays.
For Logos Danny Stevenson, Dean Roy, Larry Rudolph and Darryl Bartman all had a pair of hits and they had the tying run at the plate in the bottom of the final inning before Stewart Optical was able to get the final out to seal the victory.
Another beautiful evening for ball, thanks to Juggies for umping and cooking.

Game 2 - In the second game of the evening the Copper Coulee Casino Silver Foxes came out with bats blazing and were leading 13-3 after just 3 innings. The Mavericks hit the ball hard as well but generally right at someone. Randy Wuerfel took the win with 2 K's and 2 BBs. Dan Hamilton took the loss. The final score after 7 complete innings was 17-9 for the Foxy guys. For the Mavericks Dave Hammel was 3 for 3. Darren Heinz, Dale Weisgerber and Jeff Hall were all 2 for 3 and Jeff had a double. For the CCCS Foxes, Darren Emerson and Sam Montoya were both 3 for 4. Robert Jensen (inside the park HR) and Todd Kopec (double) were both 2 for 3 with a walk. Darcy Harty was 2 for 2 with a walk. Boyd Kosolofski was on base 3 out of four times with a single and two walks. Tom Rieger was also on base 2 out of 3 times with 2 walks.

Game 1 - The Logos Rebels jumped out to an early 7 to 2 lead aided by a 3 run home run by Danny Stevenson, but the Bumper to Bumper Blue Jays responded with 5 runs each in the third and fourth innings to defeat the Rebels by a score of 16-11. The Blue Jays had a number of players with three hits each: Tim Seitz (double), Kevin Lane (2 doubles), Kerry Buss, Lyle Kennedy (2 doubles), Mike Peters, Andy Christie and Vern Herter. For the Rebels: Danny Stevenson with 4 hits and three hits each for Paul King, Darryl Bartman and Jim Cooper.

Game 2 - On a warm night at Lorne Holden field the Cross Town Red Sox took on Mike Meats Meateors. The Red Sox got off to a 2-0 lead which held until the 6th inning when the Meateors scored 3 to take the lead. The Red Sox came back in the top of the seventh inning to score 4 and take the lead. They then shut the Meateors down in the bottom of the seventh to secure the win 6-3. Boyd Hamm was the winning picture and Jim Fink took the loss. For the Red Sox Lance Knodel went 3/3, Boyd Hamm went 2/3 with 2 RBIs, Jack Simmons went 2/3 with 1 RBI and made an outstanding catch in left field to end the game, Howard Gehring went 1/3 with an RBI, Jack Brown had 1 RBI, Bob Marfleet went 1/2 with 1 RBI, for the Meateors Ron Pisoni went 3/4, Ron Stubbs went 2/4 with 1 RBI, Jim Fink went 2/3,Paul Edmunson went 3/3 with 1 RBI, Garth Burton went 1/3 with 1 RBI. It was a well played game with solid defensive plays on both sides. Thanks to the umpires, scorekeepers and announcer as well as the players manning the concession booth for another outstanding evening at the ballpark.

Game 1 - It was a great night for ball and the Station Coffee Long Shots took advantage of it with a 15-9 win over the Sauer RV Storage boys. Leading the way for the Long Shots were Rich Bergen going 3-3 with 3 singles, Brian Stonehouse 3-3 3 singles, Harold Enslen 2-2 2 singles, walk, Cal Mayer 3-4 HR, 2 doubles, Al Martins 3-4 double, 2 singles and Blair Hennes 3-4 3 singles. For the Sauer boys Phillipe Marleau 3-3 3 singles, Mike Stroh 3-4 2 triples, single, Kevin Sauer 3-4 3 singles, Curtis Scherger 2-3 2 singles and Wilf Broesky 2-3 2 singles. Winning pitcher was Trent Rasch and taking the loss Wilf Broesky.

Game 2 - Stewart Optical used great pitching, strong defence and a balanced offence to defeat Juggies 16-2. Darrell Bonogofsky once again led the Eye Guys offensively going 4-4 with two home runs and a pair of doubles, scoring four times. Roland Schlenker also went 4-4 while James Phillips and Jeff Thompson both went 3-3 and Dan Rattai, Byron Witkowski and Brian Christman added a pair of hits each. Byron and Darrell both made a couple of great defensive plays while Rob Price was solid on the mound holding Juggies to just a couple of runs.
For Juggies Blaine Lutz, Dale Deis and Todd Toews all had a couple of hits but they couldn’t string together enough to score many runs. Jim Dulle and Jamie White shared the pitching, but neither could figure out a way to stop the Eye Guys offence.
Another beautiful night at the ballpark, thanks to everyone that makes it happen.

Game 1 - The Bumper to Bumper Blue Jays turned double plays in the first and second innings to keep the E&H Astros off the scoreboard while scoring 4 and 5 runs to build an early lead. In the end, the final score was 18-8 in favor of the Blue Jays. For the Jays, Tim Macinnis, Andy Stroh, Tim Seitz, Kerry Buss and Lyle Kennedy each had three hits while Kevin Lane, Kenn Kallis and Mike Peters chipped in with two hits each. The Astros were lead by Frank Merkyl with 4 hits and Kelly Lutz, Bill Ramage and Randy Wuerfel each with three hits. Vern Herter was the winning pitcher.

Game 2 - The Copper Coulee Casino Silver Foxes continue to find ways to win games, which is good because in the first half of the season they found lots of ways to lose games! In the second game of the night the Foxes and the Lakers each had 14 hits, but the Foxy guys were able to outlast the Lakers 8-7. Again, the Foxes had great defense and Sam Montoya pitched a good game only walking 2 but striking out 4. Gerard Hittel took the loss. For the Lakers Kevin Sauer went 3 for 3, Pierre Cote was 2 for 2 with a walk, Gerard Hittel was 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBIs, and birthday boy Trevor Fauth (61) was 2 for 3. For the Foxes Darren Emerson was 3 for 3 with a triple and 3 RBIs, Todd Kopec had a triple and 2 RBIs, Randy Wuerfel had a double and 2 RBIs. Darcy Harty also had a double.
